Car seat help!

We're 10 weeks out and just looking at the car seat issues. There are 2 families going with 4 children ages 6,5,4 and 2. We're not hiring a car and travelling from WDW (staying at the POFQ) to Universal for 2 maybe 3 days.

Am i right in thinking that UBER wouldn't help as we would need a seat for the youngest (and maybe the middle 2)? Do any taxis have car seats or anything?

If a taxi is out, whats the best way of travelling between WDW and Uni?

Thanks :)

From my knowledge which may not be perfect on the subject but having traveled with a kid I would either:

Transtar and other professional taxi companies often have a Car Seat upon request. Some are even required as a part of their business to have one, you just have to install it yourself for liability.

Rental Car companies also have them, even though I know you said you do not have a car rented, it would be an easy way to make it happen as Car Seats on most major airlines fly free. So with that you should have your car seats with you to use at no cost.

I think uber or lyft have car seat options too, though I haven’t used them.

I would assume the 2 year old would need a car seat. The 4 and 5 year old, and maybe even 6 year old might need them too depending on their heights and weights and the laws in FL. You might do well to bring car seats for the older kids if they just need a backless booster. Those are pretty cheap, though lugging them around for the day would be a drag.

This is a big factor in our decision to put of universal for a few more years. Our kids are 6 and 1, both in car seats still. We did do universal when the 6 year old was 3, but he stayed at Disney with one parent.

Florida law is ridiculously stupid. They don’t require a car seat or booster after 5.:cautious: Car seats only until age 3.

OP- my suggestion is to bring boosters with you.. and hire a car with a car seat for the 2 year old.
