Well, my husband and I finally booked our 1 year wedding anniversary trip to Disney! We're going May 26-June 2 and staying at the Wilderness Lodge. I haven't been to Disney in 7 years ( yes I am deprived!)

Just one question..we were told we have a courtyard view at the Wilderness Lodge. Looking at a picture on the internet, is the courtyard considered the U-shaped enclosure around the pool? If so, is it loud?

i would think the part your talking about is the pool part, and about the sound level.. it depends on what level you are located on.... i wouldnt worry about it tho.. its so pretty in that part of the wilderness lodge.. you'll have so much fun... i dont know how im going to stand waiting until december 26....ugh..

Yes, all the rooms on the inner part of the "U" are courtyard views. They are not loud at all with the balcony door closed. Obviously, when on the balcony, you will hear the noises form the pool but this is to be expected. You will also be able to hear, and see (part) of the Electrical Water Parade at night.

I wouldn't worry about the noise, you will SO enjoy staying at the lodge. It is my family's favorite resort, we have been there twice and are going again in June.

With your balcony doors closed, you won't even notice the noise, but you may want to keep them open so you don't miss the beauty.
