Can't see the rest of the pages?

On the threads with a higher number of pages of posts (sometimes in the 50s or sometimes in the 300s), I get to a certain page number and after that no matter what I do I can't see any more of the pages. I click on the next page number, or the arrow or even enter the number in manually but I'm stuck on a certain page (let's say 330) and can't see the other 9 pages. I try to skip all the way to the last page and still it stays on page 330. I've tried it in several different browsers so I'm not sure what's wrong.

There is a bug in the system and those pages actually don't exist. You are seeing everything

This happens when individuals [or Mods] delete posts from the thread. The page counter still includes the deleted posts [because they are still technically there - viewable by Mods, but not by everybody]. So when you click on next page and it takes you to the first post of the page you were on, you're done.
