Can't get a reservation at Chef Mickeys - anyt tips??

Going to Disney in 2 1/2 weeks - can't wait! I was just this week able to extend our stay for an extra day and have been desparately trying to get a breakfast seating at Chef Mickey's on the last day, but no luck. I have called every day since to see if any cancellations, but nothing. Has anyone ever lucked out by repeatedly calling and having something actually open up?? I've seen other posts where people say they showed up (un-reserved?) and got a seat without too long a wait. Does this mean there are a certain number of seatings that are 1st come, 1st serve and I might have a chance by just showing up?? Or do you talk to the concierge at your hotel? I've been to Disney so many times and never asked for anything special, so I don't know if that's what they are there to help try to do. Any tips/suggestions would be great! Thanks!

You can try calling as soon as you get to your room after check in. It seems that they hold a few spots for guests that are already in the resorts. We have done this in the past many times. Good luck! :wave:

Keep trying is really the best advice.

Is your departure time such that you can do Mickey's for lunch? Not sure of the times, but I know they're staying open for lunch due to the popularity of free dining.

The last day they will offer lunch is Monday Oct 2 (so I'm told) and no seatings are available. But thanks! Thanks Tigsmom also for the tip on calling upon arrival - if I can't get in before, I will definitely try that!!

If you are unable to get a reservation by the time you arrive try to show up a half hour before Chef Mickeys opens usually they will be able to seat you even without a reservation. Ive done this a couple of times when going to dinner at Chef Mickeys.

by all means... keep trying... don't give up. There are cancellations made and if nothing happens before you get there... try when you get there. There will be "no shows" who won't bother to cancel.

:wave: Go early in the morning around 7.00 to 7.30 Am and you will get seated but you must get there early or else you will be out of luck because the crowd starts coming after 7.30. I never make a res. at Chef Mickey's I always go early in the morning and never had a problem getting seated:wave:

It's a lot easier to walk in at breakfest then dinner.
