Anyone know what's going on with the 6:15 timeslot for Hoop Dee Doo? I've been trying to find a two person reservation for 6:15 on 11/12 and have come up empty. It seems like ALL the 6:15 reservations are unavailable for months... Are they canceling that showtime?

That's the most popular time each day and goes the fastest so very possible it's just all booked. We actuallty prefer the 8:30pm show and don't have a problem getting that one every fall. We like to eat later so it does not cut into our day as early. Usually we always went to AK the day of our HDD show. Also if you have the dining plan you can get Catagory 1 only at the 8:30pm show. We love doing Cat 1 on the plan or not so anther reason we always pick 8:30pm. :)

I had the same issue -- went to book 180 days out for a 7-night stay and every single 6:15pm HDD was already booked solid for every single day of our trip! So I booked our second choice, a 4pm on 11/19, and will keep checking back (especially 1-2 days out, when procrastinators are most likely to be canceling to avoid the fee) to see if anything opens up for the 6:15pm showtime.

it's seriously EVERY 6:15 reservation from now onward, but back in March I was able to book a September night. It's weird...

Same here. I went to book this online at our 180 window and nothing was available for any of the shows on 11/19. I called (407) WDW-DINE and they told me nothing had been released yet and call back tomorrow. I called 5 days in a row. On the 5th day she said nothing had been released but she checked the reservations in place and said that the 6:15 show was already full. I kept my cool and asked her to explain how it was already full. She was very polite and was at a loss for explanation. She connected me with the Pioneer Hall box office and I was able to book the 4pm show (would've liked 6:15pm show). I was pretty frustrated that I had to go through all of that to make the reservation. I don't understand why they were holding back.

That stinks! I'm not sure when your 180 day window opened -- for me, it was May 18th and we're staying on property (so I was looking for a 6:15pm anytime during our stay between 11/14 and 11/20, but preferably 11/19). As of that morning, all of the 6:15pm shows between 11/14 and 11/20 were already fully booked, but there was availability on the later days of our trip (11/19 included) for both the 4pm and 8:30 shows, so I went ahead and grabbed a 4pm ADR for 11/19. I've checked every single day since to see if I could modify it to the 6:15pm, and have yet to see any 6:15pm availability for that date.

Candidly, I think the CMs you spoke with (the ones who said nothing had been "released" yet) might have been full of it. Perhaps whatever signal of non-availability the CMs see on their screen looks the same for something fully booked as it does for something not released?

Remember, resort guests can book 180 +10 which might explain why there was nothing at 180. Keep trying and hopefully you'll find something that works for you.
