We like the Hyatt Cypress for $160? but that is for a "regular" style hotel room. The grounds seem **fantastic** and there is lots to do there. The program for kids is supposed to be the best.

However, we really like the idea of villas ($154?) wtih a jet tub and laundry in the unit.

We are looking at the Marriott Cypress and the Caribe Royale Suites ($165) which both offer 2 bedroom villas. Help! There are too many choices. We haven't had a vacation. in a LONG time and are traveling with two small kids (5 and 3 yrs). We are planning to spend only 2 days inside the parks (out of a 7 or 8 night stay) and are hoping to be at a hotel that has things to do.

Any thoughts or recommendations???

Many thanks,
Nancy

Our family has decided on the Marriott Grande Vista for May 24 - 30. Got a great deal through online travel site. We are also planning only 2-3 days in the DW parks. This Marriott is between Universal and Disney and 2 miles from Seaworld. We are sharing a 2 BR villa with my sister's family, who is going to Universal.

We felt that this resort offers a lot of children's and adult activities and relaxation without having to constantly be on the go. Marriott has always been a class act. We researched this one thoroughly, and it always got high marks!

Good luck!!

how to get cheapest hotel rate???

Rich,

Can you tell me which on-line site you used? Expedia is showing a 1-bedroom for $120 for the dates we are looking at. Anyone have any recommedations on how to get the best deal on the hotel rate?

We used Expedia, and got a rate of 154.00 for a 2 br villa, less than all the other sites I tried. We reserved about 2 months ago, so I'm not sure if the same rate is still in effect. Good luck! There is a software tool you can download to comparison shop travel deals. It's called Sidestep. I haven't personally used it, but read an article about it in our state newspaper.

Darn!

Thanks Rich,

I didn't see those rooms, maybe they were sold out by the time I got around to this.

I did book a 1-bedroom suite for 130-140 per night through travelocity. However, expedia offered some of the nights for $120 and but were sold out on other nights. Travelocity has a low price guarentee, so I filled out the form to request a refund for the nights that expedia had a better rate.

I read other great reviews of that hotel thank to your recommedation . Many thanks! I am looking forward to my stay (June 4-11).
