Can't decide. Epcot or HS

1) DHS is so much more Star Wars than 2 years ago, it isn't even close to the same experience.
2) Going to EPCOT just to do Frozen is a mistake.

You need to do both and realize you're probably not getting a Fast Pass for Frozen. If I had only 1 day for both, I honestly might skip Frozen particularly if I couldn't get Fast Pass. It's going to waste 2 hrs in standby, minimum. I'm going early September and I can't get a Fast Pass until my last day there, but I'm stay 9 days.

You could try to do it first thing in the morning.

I agree the Star Wars stuff is great, but if your family isn't into Star Wars that much than it is not so much. The fireworks is great and I got to experience the day it started when my family was there. Epcot does have Soarin, Test Track, Mission Space, and several other cool rides other than the new Frozen as well. I also like the restaurants at Epcot much better than DHS.

Thing is, it doesn't have to be a choice. You get SO much more bang for your buck to just pony up for the Park Hopper and do both. No reason to skip either.

You need to get a Park Hopper and do both. HS and EPCOT are walking distance. I can make it to HS from EPCOT in 20 minutes. If you're not up for the walk, you can take the boat but you'll end up taking longer than walking.

You could make an argument to start at either in morning, but you need to do both and stay late at DHS to watch fireworks/Fantasmic.
Do you happen to know how much is park hopper for just 1 day?

I was able to get a fast pass for it. It's in the evening. I'm starting to think about park hopper for 1 day. If you had to choose between a 8:05 breakfast at crystal palace or park hopper for 1 day what would you choose?

Unfortunately you can't do it for just 1. It's still worth it if you want 2 parks though, my opinion anyway. Last year I didn't get one..because we had 9 nights. This year, on a shorter stay, I get purchase hoppers, specifically so we can split Epcot/HS one of the days. We won't be doing 2 parks on any other days.

Oh ok, I thought you could add it for just 1 day after you get there.

My opinion is to do Epcot because as far as rides go...there just isn't much at HS. At least at Epcot you can do the boat ride in Mexico and Norway, TT, Living with the Land, SE, Mission Space, Soarin, Nemo, etc.

I was at HS on Saturday with a 10, 6 and two 2 year olds and I could tell they were a bit bored after they did RnRc, TSMM and ToT.

Plus Epcot will have Food and Wine, not that the kids can really take advantage, but the parents can.

You'd have to add park hopper for the entire trip...still totally worth it.
