so we will be going to Disney world the end of August/ beginning of September.
( 3 weeks away ) We know 100% we are doing MK & AK but we can't decide between Epcot or HS. We have 4 kids ages 6-11. Our boys love Star Wars but we have been to HS 2 years ago. We went to Epcot last year but we would like to try the new frozen ride. Ideas please? We are stuck. I just don't know if HS has lots closed so it's not worth going to over Epcot or ??

With a single day ticket I'd go for HS based on the ages of your kids.

If you have the Park Hopper you could visit HS in the morning and select FP for your EPCOT favourites later that same day.

I've been having this same dilemma, so I feel your pain. I ended up taking AK out of our plans.

If your boys are Star Wars fans then I'd say HS.. Maybe ask them and let them decide?

My kids love AK so I can't take that out. But I see how that could have helped. :) as of right now we are set to do Epcot. But this might be one we end up changing last min.

DHS probably. If they are SW fans they will have lots of opportunities to get excited and thrilled. Although EP does have some kid things, I dont think most kids see it as a fun park. And if you are going for the frozen ride, there have been a lot of early technical issues causing shut downs so you may not get a chance to do it.

The good new is- both parks are great! They will have fun whichever you end up doing. My son has heard too much about the new Star Wars stuff..and has been asking to go for months.
It's so tough when you have to choose between parks!

Have a wonderful trip!

Another vote for Epcot...The kids can enjoy Mission Space...Test Track...Soarin'...Nemo...Figment...Spaceship Earth and a few others...plus all the sights, smells, and tastes of the World Showcase...our kids love Epcot.

Unless you see all the shows and stand in line for TSMM without a FP, I cannot see spending a whole day at HS. It is a small park made smaller by all the SW and TS construction. But, if your kids are crazy about SW and are insisting, that's the place to go.

If not, I'd opt for Epcot, especially if they haven't been there before. In addition to the above, there's the Agent P scavenger hunt (or whatever it is) and each country has a "Kidcot" area.

I think that it depends on what type of person you and your family are. If you're more into the the rides and such, you could easily spend a whole day at Epcot as future world has a lot, but the waits however, can be pretty bad.
If you're more into shows, DHS is for you. DHS doesn't have many rides, especially for kids their age. But, with the amount of shows they have, you might not see them all.
Anyways, whatever choice you make, I'm sure you'll have a blast

Do your kids like the thrill rides? If so The Tower of Terror and the Rock n Roller Coaster is at DHS. I am 13 years old and went to WDW for the first time in June and personally I liked Epcot a little bit better. I loved The Land for dinner and I loved Test Track and Soarin. I also liked DHS and ToT and RnRC, but if it was me and it isn't I would go with Epcot.

Some like thrill and some don't. I think they would enjoy 3 of the rides and meet and greets but I think they might get more out of the day with Epcot. We will go there.

You need to get a Park Hopper and do both. HS and EPCOT are walking distance. I can make it to HS from EPCOT in 20 minutes. If you're not up for the walk, you can take the boat but you'll end up taking longer than walking.

You could make an argument to start at either in morning, but you need to do both and stay late at DHS to watch fireworks/Fantasmic.
