Canon A80 vs. Minolta Z1 DSC

am about to purchase a new digital Camera, and I am undecided between the two choices above.

The Z1 has a 10X optical zoom which is a really nice feature on a mid level digital. I have read about some "lens rattle", but Minolta says it is actually designed that way. The A80 has only 3x optical.

The Z1 has a hotshoe and you can add a bigger flash to it if needed.

Both seem to have about the same type of manual modes to adjust aperture and shutter speed.

The A80 is actually 4 mp (vs the Z1's 3.2) and "sturdier" based on the reviews I have read.

Frightening to be buying a new camera, just 12 days before my WDW trip.

Anyone have experience with either or both?

And to make it more complicated I am now looking at either the KM Z2 or the Kodak DX6490 as well....

I ended up with a Canon S1 IS

So far, I really like it.

(Much more Camera than I know how to use....but am working on that)
