Candlelight Processional Dinner

Just realized the friend that I am going to WDW with has NEVER been to Epcot. She has no clue what to expect! I love that! We are planning on doing the Candlelight Processional and want to do the package thing with the Dinner so we get good seats. What is the best restaurant to do this? We both are slightly picky eaters (no Japanese, Morrocan, or Chinese food). I'm picky, but she is particular. I can usually find something that I will eat, she is...for lack of being mean...very particular.

The restaurant you choose has no bearing on the seats you get. However, the time you eat may. All that the dining package does is let you into the "reserved seating" line. If you are at the front of the line, you get good seats. If you are late getting there, you might end up missing your show if they let stand by guests in before you arrive.
It really sounds like she would be the driving factor in the selection of a restaurant. You still have plenty of restaurant choices, but the reservations already opened up a while ago. You can quickly check availability here -> https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/epcot/candlelight-dinner-packages/ At this time, your dates may be the deciding factor on what availability you have. And your meal time will determine what show you will be able to attend.

Check out the menus before you book! I would maybe suggest the Rose and Crown as a good options for you two. It has been a while but we did the Rose and Crown with our dinner package and it was good.

Oh I know that the restaurant of choice has no bearing on the seats we get. I just don't want to go to a restaurant too far away from The Candlelight Processional.

The Biergarten in Germany is close and is also a cheaper option. I years past we would do a late lunch seating and the 6:45 CP. That would give us time to grab a cocktail after the CP and wander towards the Future World and get a good spot for Illuminations.

The biergarten is always my choice for my candlelight dinner. Do you both like Italian? Either of the two restaurants in Italy would be good for picky eaters.

Yes, we both like Italian. Me more than her.
Biergarten would be a stretch. I need to be more adventurous.

My favorite would be Biergarten as we'll for a late lunch CP package. I'm doing that this year for CP, but I did San Angel Inn last year for it.

It sounds like you stick to Italian. Like HollyAD said, check out the menus first.

IMO, the food at Biergarten is pretty good, but it's kind of Americanized. Which you might find more appealing and the atmosphere there can be a lot of fun.
