The Candlelight Ceremony is this weekend at Disneyland, but they haven't announced who the "celebrity narrator" will be this year. Usually by now they've already announced it.

I hope it wasn't supposed to be John Lassetter or Kevin Spacey and they were sent into a scramble to find a replacement at the last second.

Matt Lauer? Charlie Rose? Al Gore? Al Franken?

It would be safer if they got a woman to do it this year, but who knows?

I've been trying to find out who's doing DL this year too -- odd that there's no info anywhere about it. Also, you take that back about Kurt! Dude has been making a solid comeback as of late with Hateful Eight and Guardians 2!

Okay, I trust your judgement so I'll take it back. But when I hear "Kurt Russell" I immediately think The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes and singing Sugar, Sugar on the Plaza Gardens stage.

Out on the dance floor, kids, it's time to Frug!


Could we agree on B List for Mr. Russell?

Just heard that Garrison Keillor has just been fired by NPR for sexual misconduct in the workplace, so he’s out. I’d always thought he’d make a good Candlelight narrator, to be honest.

I would love to see Warwick Davis do candlelight at Disneyland. Maybe he will when Star Wars land opens. I bet he would be wearing something Wicket.

I knew that World of Disney episode, but still had to Google EJ Peaker just to see. She's still with us, alive and well and living in Encino.

Bless her heart.

But I'm hoping for someone bigger for Candlelight this year. It is kind of odd that they haven't announced the narrator at this point. I have to think maybe they were going to get Lassetter to do it and had to scramble after he needed to take a sudden, paid, six months sabbatical to deal with his lady issues.

So who is it? The show starts in 40 hours and we still don't know?!?

There must be an untainted Gentile eunuch somewhere in Southern Calfornia they could find!
