Canadians on Magical Express

I was just wondering if any of my fellow Canadians (or people from any countries other than the U.S. for that matter) have tried Magical Express. I booked through CAA and am not even sure if the tags will come to me or to my travel agent (she thinks they will be sent to me but is unsure). Also, with all of the problems they have been having getting the tags sent out on time I would imagine that having to go through customs and be sent internationally would cause even more problems. I'm not leaving for three weeks so I don't expect my tags yet but I would like to hear about any of your experiences. Thanks.

Haven't been yet....but

Hi,

I spoke to Disney just the other day and for Canadians they send them out 21 days in advance. Customs really isn't an issue since they are "paper documents" but you know how there are exceptions, so here's hoping. I've never had things take more than a week to get from Disney to my house ever (Nova Scotia).

Also, the tags go to your travel agent if she was the one that booked the whole thing for you as far as I have been told. I booked my own (with AP Rate) and they will come to me personally.

Great to see another Canadian!

For any international arriving guest, if the Orlando International Airport is your first point of entry into the United States, please follow the U.S. Customs & Border Protection process and claim your luggage upon disembarking the airplane. After your bags pass customs, ask to have your luggage transferred to the Baggage Claim area, where Disney will collect it, and deliver your bags to your room.

The previous printing delay issues have been resolved and shipping is currently on schedule. All DME travel documents are sent by US Mail approximately 21 days prior to your arrival and should arrive by 5 days prior to arrival or earlier. If you booked with CAA or any other travel agency, your documents will be shipped to your agent, who will need to redirect them to you.

Hope this helps! :sohappy:

If Orlando (MCO) isn't first point of entry...

Hi There,

If you are connecting from another US Airport, as I am coming in from Boston, all they care about is that segment and you follow the same rules as an American citizen. Hope this helps.

A slight clarification, Canadians travelling to the US from major gateways (Montreal, Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver, etc..) go through US Customs and Border Protection at the airport of origin and not on arrival. Arrival in Orlando is no different for these travellers than someone coming in from a US destination. It would stand to reason that DME would then operate the same way as for travellers from US destinations?
