Canada Rapids Ride

Excuse me for being a little "out of it" for a while, but I saw some mention of a rapids ride for the Canadian Pavillion at EPCOT. I also remember reading here that someone saw a party of official-looking personnel looking over the rapids ride at DAK. Putting 2 and 2 together I came to the conclusion that they were talking about the proposed Canadian rapids ride.

The Canadian rapids ride seems like the most probable of all the rumors I've been reading lately. It just makes a whole bunch of sense... EPCOT, especially World Showcase needs something new, the tie-in with Brother Bear, and the mountain part making World Showcase more visiably fit with Soaring rising too visably nearby.

I heard someone say that Jim Hill had reported about this, but I could not find his report on his site. Can anyone fill me in on more details about what they are planning (or proposing) to do in Canada?

That does seem like a more probable reason for the managers being at the AK raft ride than "they are going to expand Kali". Perhaps it was "how can we make Epcot's better?" Purely speculation of course. Nothing has been green-lit.

Corrus reported this was given the red flag. . . but I agree, it would be a great new addition if given its own original spin (i.e. not a direct copy from DCA).
