Can you visit Poly, Wilderness Lodge, etc without a dining reservation?

I usually spend a day or two each trip visiting captain cooks at poly or checking out the lobby at the wilderness lodge.. even when I stay at a Universal resort I bop over to Disney sometimes to just shop at the gift shops etc at the various resorts.

Someone I'm going with mentioned that they heard that becuase of Covid your not allowed into the resorts now to visit unless your staying there or have a dining reservation?

I was under the impression that the reservation requirement for visiting was just for parking or something and that we could still visit like always?

Anyone know more accurately about this?

They are also very reluctant to accept a mobile order for entry, especially in the MK area resorts. The Poly has turned people away with a mobile order. WL have been very iffy about letting people in. And yesterday people were reporting getting a pop-up saying that mobile ordering at the Wave and Contemp Cafe is only for resort guests (although the app didn’t appear to be preventing people order).

Using Disney transport or walking is fine.

what if we have reservations to eat at Wave, but we’re staying at the Coranado?
