Can you think of something you wanted to do on your last trip to WDW, but didn't????

Can you think of something that you wanted to do on your last trip to Walt Disney World, but due to time constraints, weather, etc...you never got around to actually doing it?

Well, for us, there were a ton of things that we didn't get the chance to do. I guess it had a lot to do with the really crappy weather, but just plain old pure exhaustion played a major role as well. From all the stress and "ripping and running" involved with planning a wedding, we were just beat when we finally made it to Disney.

Anyways, back to the subject at hand...

We didn't.....

1. Get to see Fantasmic (didn't even see MGM at night for that matter.

2. Get to see Illuminations (again, didn't get to see the World Showcase at night)

3. Take a stroll down the Boardwalk.

4. Get to see any of the parades due to the weather (a lot of them were cancelled).

5. Get the chance to rent a water mice because everytime we went to rent one, it was closed due to the weather.

6. Get the chance to visit a lot of the restaurants that we had on our "must do" list.

This list could go on and on; however, there is a silver lining to this cloud...

We are getting ready to book another trip back to Disney for our 1 year wedding anniversary. This time, you can rest assured that everything that didn't get done on this past trip...will be done at least ten fold this time around!!!

So, what about you, what didn't you get the chance to do on your last trip???

Really dumb, wanted to rund RnRC but due to something that happened on another ride we ran out of time.

I won't relay the details here, but those who remember my post under 'Most embarrassing things at WDW' will understand.

Last time I went to the World, I missed out on a lot of the "usuals" for me. It was due, in part, to three variables:

1)The weather was crappy (/cold) for most of our trip
2) Although a Disney regular, I was catching up on 5 years of being away from the world. My last visit was before the 25 year anniversary (pre-AK, pre-RnRC, etc, etc.)
3) I brought a first-timer along, so we had to make sure to hit the staples before moving on to exploring.

Overall, it's always hard if not impossible to hit everything you want. For us, we generally stay for eight days/seven nights and let's face it: you can only eat so many meals in that amount of time  Believe me, we try to fit in as many as possible, but you can only do so much!

Also, not everything was as enjoyable as possible due to the weather. (The 'Splash' on Splash Mountain doesn't feel so refreshing when it's 48 degrees and raining outside!)

Hopefully in Feb. I'll get to do some more catching up!

Last time I was at the World, I didn't have time to see La Nouba. I love this show, but pricing and time constraints prohibited it.

Due to the weather we didn't see Illuminations, see any parades or for that matter get to see alot of things we really wanted to do. We did get to Fantasia Gardens and the Boardwalk for the first time, though. Had so many plans because we had never stayed that long before (did the Fairy Tale Package) we had a list of first time things we wanted to do. The night we did the Fantasmic Dinner package it stopped raining just long enough for the show! :sohappy:
Oh well, thats what return trips are for.

Never played mini-golf on a WDW course.......

:(

P.S. Do I need to make reservations for this, or is it just first-come-first-serve ?

Also...Which course is better.....and what's the best way to get there?

Sorry.....I smell a new thread coing on......

We didn't see SpectoMagic this time around:( but was able to do everything else at the parks. I didn't bring my golf clubs and was regretting it when I was reminded how cheap the greens fees were when we got there. I've played Magnolia, Palms and Osprey Ridge a few years back and loved it! The signature hole for one of them had a sandtrap that looked like Mickey and I "intentionally" hit it there so my golf partner could take a photo of me while standing in it. :D

I didn't get to see as much of Downtown Disney as I wanted to. I also didn't have a chance to ride the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. I also didn't get to go to MGM. Oh well there's always next year!!!:sohappy: Besides, I did practically everything that I really wanted to do this year, do that's good.

I wanted to ride Test Track...in fact the last THREE trips, I'd made a point to go on it, but somehow, we never got around to it. Why didn't I make it last trip? Because of the annoying Norwegian women @ the bakery - they didn't even realize that I was waiting for my food...for TWENTY minutes. I even reminded them ten mins into waiting that I was waiting. It's never taken that long for a couple waffles. Oh well - I guess that's just an excuse to come back to Epcot again. ;)

2) See the concert at the American Gardens Theater (rain)
3) Do Pirates of the Caribbean (broke down)
4) Jungle Cruise (ran out of time)
5) Cranium Command (ran out of time)

I did not get to do as many things with my wife as I would have liked. We went in 2000, it was me, my wife, and my 2 brothers who were around 7 and 9 I think. I rode many things with my brothers but not my wife. She was just about 1 1/2 months pregnant. We knew she could not do some things before we left. But about a week before we left she started getting really sick so nothing we did was ok for her.

We missed out on a lot of nice meals too because she was so sick. I felt really bad for her.

But the good news is, we are going in about a year and now we have a wonderful daughter to share it with. :)

Here's my list

1. ride mission space

2. go to Jelly Rolls

3. complete my eat and drink around the world in Epcot in one afternoon. I really only made it to Germany (starting In mexico)

4. drink more at the pool!

But this will be rectified in 2005! I'm planning on taking a 2 week trip to celebrate my golden birthday (28):sohappy:

I thought of another thing. I wish I would have been able to go to Ice Station Cool. It was closed in June when we went. But I like the free soda. Although some of isn't too tasty.

I went 2 years ago with the guys for a few days and due to my friend's diabetes (he had a lot of trouble with his feet that we had to bring him to the hospital over in celebration) we were unable to do almost evrything.

He refused to rent a wheelchair saying it would admit defeat.

So, after about 1 1/2 days of our 4 day trip we stayed in the hotel or just drove around Orlando.
