Can you make a decent living working for corporate?

Having lived in Orlando for several years and working in hospitality, I can speak first hand that the pay isn't great. I do not currently work for Disney, but I have friends that do and it seems like the pay isn't too spectacular over there either (Hourly, speaking).
Does anyone know once you get out of the parks if the pay gets better? I'm not saying out of WDW, but even working in PR for WDW if that's something that holds a little more weight? I would assume you could also at one point transfer out of WDW and into The Walt Disney Company straight on and do something with their business out in CA or NY.
I know a lot of discussion in this part of the forum is on hourly positions in the park and CP. Any light that anyone could shed on this would be awesome.
Thanks,

Corporate is a completely different salary/benefit structure. While they try to keep as many people (even in corporate) hourly, most of the management positions are salary, and salary is competitive....we're talking corporate here as in accounting, development, quality assurance, etc. There is no direct transfer to other divisions of Disney Enterprises outside of the theme park division -- but it certainly gives you a heads up and a completely different level of experience and references from supervisors. I have many many friends who now work in corporate having started hourly -- and they make enough money to afford nice condos in Celebration and enjoy a pretty good quality of life.
