Can You Get To Polynesian From Contemporary On Monorail?

Hey guys

Trying to plan the night that I am actually proposing to my girlfriend. Wanted to make ADR for California Grille at Contemporary, then head over to Polynesian and watch the Wishes fireworks on the beach with the tiki torches and propose during the fireworks. Just a couple questions:

1. Can you take the monorail from the Calfornia Grill over to the Polynesian Resort?

2. Will I be allowed off the monorail into the Polynesian Resort beach to watch the fireworks if I'm not staying at the resort?

I just don't want to get down there and get screwed. But I suppose I should always have a plan B in case it rains...

Confused info coming out of Disney itself.
Some members on here have gotten rezzes, some are told they can't make rezzes yet when calling.
@Trotsky posted an screen shot of his Rez confirmation for a night in November, if I remember correctly.

It should be. You're close to your ADR date, like 11 days! For some reason I'm thinking September is when it's opening...
