okay.. here is one thing that would really help our trip planning.. can you get from a resort, to the hess store, on base? via disney transportation.. Why? for one.. I would like to stock up on soft drinks for my room , snacks, and the like.. this last trip, we rented a car for one day, just to go to Walmart. .( there were 6 of us splitting the cost and we went out to eat as well) .. since this store is literally on base, ( at the car rental service) shouldn't there be a way to get there and back? thanks for the opinions and comments

You can't get to the one at the Car Care Center without a car or taxi, but the one by the Boardwalk is easily walkable. From the Boardwalk bus stop walk out to the far corner of the parking lot and cross Epcot Resorts Blvd using the crosswalks.

Alternately, there's one across from Downtown Disney. It's right across from where the Pleasure Island bus stops are, but those stops are closing for construction soon, if they haven't already.

Save yourself the headache - it may just be easier to take a taxi. It should only be a couple of bucks and given that you want to purchase drinks and snacks its much easier than relying on disney transportation. As with the above - I have also read Amazon Prime is pretty good.

Consider ditching magic express and get a car service to take you from the airport to the resort. They will make a courtesy stop at publix for you to stock up and then whisk you off to the resort without any delay or having to wait to board a bus. You can still use ME for your return trip. This plan usually works out great for us and you end up checking into the resort alone instead of with a bus load of other guests. Usually runs between $60-70.
