Can you enter WWOHP from the Lost Continent area?

Several weeks back I heard they were routing people all the way over to Jurassic Park to enter WWOHP as a means of crowd control. This is never the case anymore, correct? You can just go through the entrance by Lost Continent?

It depends on the time of the day. I remember the last week of july they were still re routing people until about 3 or 4 I think.

Then you were able to come through Lost Continent.

Potter is still packing the crowds in.

So maybe if your coming later then yes. But real early, no.

Well not necessarily signs but there will generally be a wall of employees blocking your way.

Yeah I noticed that lol.

When I go to IOA my plan is to start at Marvel Super Hero Island, then Toon Lagoon, Then Jurassic Park, Then Wizarding World Of Harry Potter, Then Lost Continent (don't ride anything in this land anymore), then Suess Landing.

So I'm usually going that way anyway.

From my understanding (I went on the 3th & 4th, so it never actually applied to me), the line to enter Wizarding World will be routed to the left at the end of the Port - you'll go through all of the islands a bit before park opening, stopping somewhere in Jurassic Park or at the Dudley Do-Right bridge. There you'll wait until the park is open/ready, the line'll start moving steadily across the temporary Jurassic Park to Lost Continent bridge, and then through the main Lost Continent entrance. Until the line to enter the area dissipates (typically mid-afternoon), the Wizarding World is "one-way": you can only enter via the Lost Continent, and exit via Jurassic Park. Once there is no longer a line to enter the area, you can enter and exit as you please through either portal.

Is this crowd control due to the fact that there is limited space through each portal or limited space in the WWOHP?

Give it a year then you can just walk in with no issues. Harry today back to snooze fest tomorrow.

Your negative comment bashing Universal not only was not relevant to the OP's question, but is pretty much a flamebait. Don't feed the trolls, folks...

To answer your follow-up question, I believe it's because there are already an amount of people in the Wizarding World due to on-site resort early entry, and pretty much everyone who shows up at opening wants to go to Potter first - in other words, the Wizarding World simply isn't big enough to outpace the demand.

I have a hard time picturing the Potter hype leveling off anytime soon.

So many people have yet to visit IOA since Potter opened, and it's really become an absolute must do in Orlando now.

As a lifelong Disney freak who never even considered for a moment visiting Universal, I finally broke down and took a Mears shuttle over for the day last month simply because of Potter.
And while overall, IMO, Islands of Adventure isn't in the same league as Disney Parks. Forbidden Journey is a different story.

Nothing Disney (or anybody) has done can compare to that ride! Nothing!
Not even close!!!!!
And I bleed Disney. But I'll rate Forbidden Journey far and away over any other ride in the world. No contest!!! Game over!
I only hope Disney can come up with something that's even in the same ballpark, but I'm not holding my breath.

As word of it continues to spread, the crowds will continue to pour in. Probably for a long time to come.

I was there over the weekend, but since I didn't arrive at IOA each day until about 10:00am, I missed all that. Each day I worked my way through the park to Harry Potter by 11am, and both entrances were open (no re-routing for me). The area is small, but the carts they have set up for butterbeer and pumpkin juice really make congestion a big problem. And of course, the lines to get in some of the shops take up valuable space on the walkways as well.
