Can you do the CP if you complete a summer semester?

One of my friends is now interested in the Disney College Program since she didn't get admitted to the college of her choice. She graduates HS June 2007. I was thinking that she could complete a semester at our local Community College and be able to do the CP. I have e-mailed the WDWCP recruiting a few minutes ago but I'm not very paitent, haha. Just wondering what some of your thoughts would be.

Another thing-she would probably go to the April 10th interview with me. Would you have to have a full semester completed by the interview date?

My step-brother did a CP after only a summer semester. I'm not sure that I would recommend it, though. It might be a smart move to get some college experience under her belt first so as not to be tempted to become one of the masses that drops out of school and stays at Disney. And yes, I know, you're all thinking "Oh, I wouldn't do that". But just keep in the back of your mind that this is what ALL CPs think when they travel to the House of Mouse.

Just some food for thought.

Your friend might be better suited for the Disney Career Start program. It's the same type of thing, but for recent high school graduates who haven't gone to college yet.

yes yes yes yes yes i second that completely... i had THE HARDEST time leaving.. i knew i wouldn't drop out of school, but i did want to take off some more time to stay longer... but now that i'm home and thinking straight again....... i still want to go back and am making plans... but this time i'm being logical about it, leaning more towards DLR instead of WDW and finding schools that I can attend at the same time
