Can We Have a Non-Guest Join Us While Using Meal Plan Vouchers?

Sorry to spam the forum with threads, but I'm having a hard time digging up info on DLP dining. My mom, sister, and I are staying on site for a few days and got a half board plus meal plan. My brother who lives in Europe decided to join us for one of our park days and would obviously be eating with us (though the thought of leaving him out in the cold peeking in the windows as we dine on a three-course meal is kind of amusing). Will it be a problem to have three people at a table with meal plan vouchers and one paying cash? Do you think they would ring him up as a separate party if they can't combine them? I've never done WDW dining, but I seem to remember hearing that all parties had to have the meal plan to dine together so I'm a little concerned about how that's going to work.
