Can we fit in a breakfast before park in December

Working out a single day in Disney with a toddler and two first timer great grandparents.
We are limiting ourselves to the MK for the toddlers sake. I've been trying to book a character meal persistently daily and finally snagged one at the Contemporary Chef Mickey at 8:15.

I still have to pick up tickets at will call. Park opens at 9
I am reading park might reach capacity by 10?!

Can we make this? Or should I give up the breakfast?

Planning for 12/13

I highly doubt the park will reach capacity at all that day (a Wednesday in mid-December when kids are in school) and definitely not by 10 am.
That said, MK will be busy simply because MK is always busy.

Breakfast will take at least an hour if you want to see all the characters. Then you’ll have a ten minute walk to the front entrance, 5-7 minutes through security and possibly 15-20 minutes at Will Call (though it may not take that long.)

You should be inside the gates by 10 am which is still early enough to get on some rides without long waits.

Unless I'm mistaken, I think the first closure of Magic Kingdom last holiday season was on New Year's Eve. Without doing a search of old MK news on here, I recall an article about how they didn't even reached phased closure on Christmas 2016. Most years, there are 4-5 days between 12/24 and 1/1 that reach a closure, but I doubt that it has ever had a phased closure on December 13. You should be fine - in fact, most crowd calendars list 12/13 as a 'light crowd' day - even at Magic Kingdom.

The weeks just after Thanksgiving and before Christmas week were always relatively slow with low crowd numbers and there were no issues with closures. These weeks have become more popular and more crowded over the past several years because guests still perceive them as slow times so they are booking more now. But it still has not reached the point that the parks max out. There will be lots of people visiting to experience the decorations and festivities but you will be fine. Enjoy the time with your young one and grandparents. Its a great time to go with lots of memory making moments.

Yep, I was there between 23rd Dec and 4th Jan. The only day there was a phased closure was on NYE, by about noon or so. Not even Christmas Day. You'll be fine.
