Dont worry, I plan to get as far away from that card as possible when i get it, I will probably get one off of ebay. RAM wise, I know it says 1 Gig reccommended, but I have played on a computer with 512 and no problems.wannab@dis said:

can this effectively run BF2?

I got Battlefield 2: Special Forces and will probably play that a lot, now... Don't worry, I'll still play vanilla BF2 with you.
Darn you. it's either more RAM and a SD card for my camera, or Special Forces......... Glad you are willing to play the original one with me

Unless something comes up, I should be able to order my computer tomorrow. I'm gonna get an eVGA GeForce 7800GT. It's one of the most high-end cards out. 
Well, I not only did I get more RAM, and my grapics card installed, ?I got a wireless router; I just started playing BF2 online! I am up for a game whenever. I know have; 512 megs RAM( 1 gig as soon as best buy gets it in stock ), 256 meg radeon x700 graphics card, and an AMD sempron processor. You want to know something? the card that came with the computer ran BF2! LOL........

Even if the stock card could play BF2, you're still better off with the x700. If you wanna play sometime, just IM me and see if we can set up a time, or just play then.
Sadly, I couldn't order my computer today, because of money... Or the lack there of. However, when I get it Friday, I should be able to get:
AMD Athlon 64 XP 3700+
eVGA e-GeForce 7800GT 256MB PCI-e
2GB Corsair ValueSelect PC3200 DDR400 RAM
I should be able to play almost any game on top settings without lag. Now let's just hope I can order it Friday. For the past month it's been, "Yay, I get to order soon!" and I never can.

Ah shoot..... after being able to play on any server, and playing for about 2 days, I am unable to play on ay server.( I could see the battle but my mouse and everything didn't work.) I reinstalled the game, now it says my CD key is invalid. :brick: Why can't anything I do on the computer go smoothly?

Hmm, that's odd... What happened to the game exactly? And are you sure you put the CD Key in right? You didn't give it to anybody, did you?
nope. played on a few ranked servers, reinstalled the game ( CD key was entered corectly ) and then it does not work. I did not give my code to anybody.
Ah crap.... I reinstalled AGAIN. ( takes almost an hour if i patch it.....) and I now I can ge ton a server but I cant select my kit or spawn, My pointer will not move.

it turned out my keyboard mappings were corrupted. It is fixed now, but I can't get SF to work online. I already patched BF2 to 1.12, before i bought SF, do i need to uninstall the whole thing? ( hits head on wall because that will take two hours)
