Can one person Q for Wizarding World while the others try to get into the shoppes?

I plan on paying for one night at Royal Pacific Resort to get the 1 hour entry. Say we get to ride once with little to no wait thanks to our early entry, then maybe a not too bad line up for a second time; can I then wait on line for however nightmarish amount of time while the other parent takes the kids to attempt to get into the shops or will the other line members grouse upon their return?

I plan on having cell phones to call them when we are nearly at the inside part of the queue.

Even if they don't get into the shops, I would rather they were sitting off to the side instead of on line with me.

Line cutting is not allowed, and the sort of line cutting that you're suggesting isn't even physically possible. All attractions have one entrance, and there's no magical doorway that your family can walk through to meet you in the middle of the queue.

Honestly, unless the line is back up into the very beginning as you first enter the "dungeon" of the castle directly after the lockers, the line isn't really too bad of a wait. That crew was absolutely the best crew at Universal for the first 6 months of its operation, and the longest I ever waited was just a shade over an hour, and that was with half of the excess queue next to the greenhouse ramp being used (this was in late June/early July). Honestly, the ride capacity when they are hitting interval hinders the experience of the line! I've moved through the Defense Against the Dark Arts room/scene in as little as half of one of the two show sequences (and missed the snow!). Now how many times are you going to say you wish the capacity was a little lower so you could enjoy the line a bit more!

It's not really the decent thing to do IMO, if other people are making the effort to stand in line for however long it takes, if not fair for others to be off entertaining themselves and then cut in at the last minute. If everyone did this a '20 min' standby line could realisticly be a '50 min' standby once everyones families join them at the front. I don't want to be standing in line thinking I'm in the next 20 people to enter and suddenly find I'm really #26! Fair enough if you have been waiting inline and need to use a restroom and then join your party.

It sounds like I'm really moaning but I'm not! I think it shows bad manners but people probably don't realise the problem. :)

The line really isn't that bad anyway. It's not a lot of stop and go in my experience, you're mostly moving along. And there's so much to see that it doesn't really get boring.
I really loved waiting in this queue haha.

Ive waited in the Line for FJ a few times just to experience it (Except for the Passholder Event in November 2010 from 8pm - 10pm when it was walk on) and i have found that the best way to experience the attraction itself multiple times a day (without the hour wait) is to do single, Most i ever wait is like 5minutes (if you dont mind being split up)

I meant the part of the line before the line becomes part of the experience.

Okay, thanks for the heads up. I thought there was a part of the line that was static and just a holding area.
