Can Internationals become Characters?

I feel a bit silly asking this question:lookaroun but if i'm from the UK would I be able to be trained for entertainment and become a Character or do something in parades/shows etc.

From what I understand, ICPs are eligible for Entertainment depending on your visa. I believe that when the recruiter comes to you, they see if you fit into the Entertainment specifications. If you do, you are given the chance to audition once you arrive in Orlando. If you pass the audition, then you're a character performer. If you don't pass, they put you into another role.

Also, can you get a permanant job as an entertainer or not?

PinMadness and MKT are correct on everything they say!

However, if you were to come for only a summer on the ICP, you will most likely only be trained for meet n greets. If you were on the 6month J1A, then you will have a small chance of being picked for a show, or parade, especially if you were there on the july to january program.
