Can I put an image in my signature?

I posted the following into my signature:

[img]http://www.filelodge.com/files/hdd5/106581/MRC%20Sig_6.gif[/img]

However, no image appeared. Why is this? Is it against the rules to have images in signatures? Are they disabled by an administrator?
I typed everything in correctly, I am sure.
EDIT: Sorry, I found the answer. I don't think I can delete this.

No. WDWMAGIC doesn't have images in signatures.
