Can I pay for a night?

The point values for a Fri/Sat night are killing me. Can I use points for weeknights and then just pay for the room for a Fri or Sat? I'm asking because I want to use points to stay at the Polynesian,but 50 some points for a weekend is crazy!!!

You've got the plan.....we do it all time; switching from points to cash for the weekends...it effectively doubles the amount of time you can stay.

It is our way of encourage a full weeks stay, since there is a different point value for a full week.

But for resorts that are not DVC then paying cash for the weekend works, and you should get a discount on the rate if I am not mistaken.
