Can I assign my hoppers to someone else?

in 1995 I bought 5 day hoppers, used only 2 days. A few years later went back and used 1 day ( I had to get new cards). This was before the fingerprint scanning. 2013 went back and turned in the old cards for the new ones but didn't get to use them. So I still have 2 days on them. Those cards were never assigned to any particular name cuz it wasn't being done then. Can I give them to my family member to use the remaining days? (When I went to downtown Disney in 2013 to switch the tickets, they never asked for an id or name, they simply gave me the new version of the tickets and they told me I still had 2 days on them). i thought about linking the cards and assigning their names to it. Will this work?

What I would do, whoever the intended recipient is, have them try to link them to their MDE online.

It it links, they are good to go (but now they are permanently for that person).

If they don't link, you should have your answer :-)

I don't see why not. It's only more recently that tickets became truly non-transferable (even if it said that on the back of the ticket).
Well, they've always been "truly" non-transferable they just didn't have a way to enforce it. In this case I don't see how it matters, as you say they are paid for, they are yours and there is no reason you cannot give them as a gift. They will have to go to a ticket booth to get them updated to the new system though, and that might be where a glitch could happen because there may be a record of them and who updated them in the past.

They've been updated twice, the last time was this past December while I was at downtown Disney. Both times they never asked for any ID or name.
