Can Comcast Merge Save Disney?

I think the ideal situation would be for Comcast to buy their media assets (ABC, ABC Family, ESPN, etc.)

Disney needs to return their focus to being a content creation company not a broadcast company. Trying to be both has made the company's output poorer all the way around.

Of course how would want to take on all that debt without getting the Disney library? Probably not a good buy.

Don't sugar coat it for us. Tell us what you really think.

I think it can if it triggers other interest that can actually benefit Disney. I think John Pepper may be available to head up a new group.

My thoughts verbatim. I say give them the media ('cept for the movies!) and let Disney work on the films and the parks.

Won't happen. Comcast wants the content, not the distribution system. This is a continuence of the mergers which started in the '80's and early '90's, which were aimed at providing vertical intergration in the industry.
