Considering this for our trip (in 9 days - wooo-whoo!!!) - we've never done it. Thoughts? Opinions? We'll be at MK that day until it closes at 7pm for the party, thought we could hit this after that. (We are doing MVMCP earlier in our trip).

It is fun and kids seem to love it. S'mores are always good and you can buy the stuff needed if you don't bring your own. The sing-a-long participation usually determines energy level. The price is right, especially if you bring your own. A fun little activity, but it starts at 7 p.m., so you might want to get there a little earlier instead of staying at MK till 7. The boat ride over will take a bit of time depending on how long you have to wait for the boat. There is also an outdoor movie following the sing-a-long.

We really enjoy going to this. The only thing I would tell you to be mindful of is that it is not easy to get to. If you take the boat you will also have to take a bus to get to the campsite where it is. If you take a bus to Fort wilderness you will have to take another bus within four wilderness to get to the campsite. It is a good time though. Chip and Dale only come out for a few minutes – they do not watch the movie with you.

This is one of the best kept secrets in Disney. If you go an hour or so before the sing alog is supposed to begin you really get some one on one time with Chip & Dale. Take a look below, this is about 4 years ago. The picture is of my youngest son coloring with sidewalk chalk with Chip and Dale. We keep saying we want to go back but haven't been able to on our last few trips...

Sorry for the thread bump, but I searched the board and couldn't find my answer. We're going to Florida next week but we are staying off property. Would we still be able to go to the campfire? Is it strictly resort guests?

No it is open to everyone.

It got crazy when we were there in September. There seemed to be too many people by the fire, and one young boy ended up with a really bad burn on his hand. I didn't see it happen as I was on line getting a s'mores pack, but the dad was rushing with his son to a CM screaming that he got burned. My advise, don't let the kids near the fire. Too many people oblivious to those around them.
