well.. it's summer. I'm going to the parks more often, so I decided to splurge a little and get some accessories to make my life easier. I'm taking suggestions, here's the ones I've come up wth thus far.

1- more memory. I'm looking into a 256mb card to add to my present memory cache (3 128's, 1 64, 1 16, 1 8.. RIP 128 #4 :( )

2- rapid battery charger for NiMH AAA batteries. Pref one that does 4+ at a time

3- small battery storage cases, since I'm getting annoyed of just putting them loose in my pockets. See examples:

4- neck lanyard with a thin loop at the end instead of a metal clasp. I have no clue where to get this. I'm thinking maybe at a diveshop, since the old lanyard on the mkt-cam was a breakaway dive lanyard.

5- additional o-rings for the battery compartment on the camera. I'm going to the waterparks more often, so more stress is being placed on the factory o-ring, which means it will have to be replaced. This I've already sourced through the Best Buy parts shop and I've ordered a 3 pack.

any other suggestions?

well.. this isn't necessarily a rapid charger, but it's one that interests me nonetheless. Mainly its battery capacity

You might also want to look at wide-angle and telephoto adapter lenses. With the new magnetic mounts models you should be able to find a set to fit your camera. I would think both would be pretty useful at times in the parks.

thanks for the suggestion Pisco.

I just returned from Best Buy. I ended up buying an open item SanDisk 256mb Memory Stick Pro for $65, and I'm getting a $15 mail in rebate, so $50. Not bad.

Tomorrow, I'm gonna hit radio shack for the charger. I'm still having trouble finding the lanyard though, however, I found out that Canon sells them as part of a Digital Elph kit, so I'm gonna contact them about it.

I have tried to follow your camera saga over the past couple of months and seem to be a bit confused. It appears as if you have an underwater camera, but I am not sure which one it is. I can tell it is a Sony from the memory sticks, but I am surprised they have a camera that doe snot require a waterproof boot. Please let me know what camera you have and if it indeed is water-proof. I would love to get a camera for the pool, water parks, etc. if it is.

another update...

Lanyard shipped on the 19th.. I should be getting it later this morning or tomorrow AM. Best Buy Partsearch contacted me to inform me that the battery o-rings are on back order, but Sony has them available directly through them. For now, i'm just gonna wait it out until after summer.
