Camelbak Question...

I plan on bringing a Camelbak hydration/backpack with us to the park next week (adult only trip...honeymoon!) and was wondering if there is a place to put the Camelbak when riding rides or are you stuck looking for a locker or NOT riding rides when you have a hydration pack with you? Trying to save $ wherever possible!

Most rides you just wear your backpack and if not they usually have a mesh compartment you can put your bag in in your ride car. :)

Welcome to the boards, how big is this backpack? I always bring my DSLR camera bag which is pretty bulky and it's able to fit in the rides with me. Each ride has a pouch in front of you to place your items in. Also in AK- Kali River Rapids there is a locker area there for larger bags (not much room in the ride IMO) and the lockers are free for like a half hour or so. You'll just have to ask a CM working in the locker area, other than that you should be okay !

Thank you for the welcome! So you are allowed to wear one of these even on roller coasters? It is a medium sized Camelbak.
The roller coasters will have the mesh compartment to put your bags in if need be in your ride car. No worries many people wear medium/large size backpacks in the parks. :)

Any ride where it needs to be stowed will offer a bag other than Kali River Rapids. There, you need to get a locker. Are you going to Universal? I find their baggage policy to be obnoxious.

As others have stated, you can bring them on pretty much any attraction.

However, I have worn a Camelbak to the parks once....once. I found it to be more of an inconvenience than anything else. A simply bottle that I can refill works much better.

If you can get a free glass of icewater at any QS location, wouldn't that be easier than carrying another object into the park? Especially something covering your back now that it's started to get warm.

I concur! I was just about to mention this as well when I saw your post, so I'm "replying for emphasis." :) If the taste of tap water is a problem (and I realize it is for some people), bring a water bottle with a built-in filter, and refill it with the free-on-request iced water.

I agree with the previous posts - go for the free water or bring a filtered water bottle. We have done both on our two recent trips and it was MUCH easier!
