 thank you very much! i'm glad to know getting up at 2am every day is appreciated by someone! the cinnamon rolls do look awfully tasty! i've never tried one myself...and i can brag about how they look, cuz i don't usually make them, so it's not like i'm bragging on myself. i usually just put the icing on the donuts.

Nope don't work at Wal-mart. But I like to shop there. Did anyone see a skit on SNL about walmart? The 2 actresses were playing Walmart employees and they kept making statements like "this walmart is so big, they have 3 indiginous languages". You know those Super Walmart really are big, you have to take a shuttle bus in from the parking lot:lol:

I work at Canadian Tire (an automotive, hardwear, and recreational department store kinda-thing) and I goto the Walmart across the parking lot for lunch at the McDonalds. People think I work there get asked questions everytime I go in (can I take merchandise in to the washroom?........Do you have express checouts?.....) And the uniform I wear is nothing like walmarts! Im either wearing a red golf shirt and black pants, or if im in automotive dep't, a blue mechanics outfit. Neither bear any resemblence to the blue walmart 'smock'. Geeeez, sum people lol:p

Ty:king:

P.S. The blue jays lost tonite, im so mad, they were doing so well lately too.

I don't work there... but I LOVE to shop there... but I will never wear a blue shirt while shopping there again... one day before Easter I was in there getting goodies for Easter morning, and about 10 people asked me questions... "do you have this?" or "can you tell me where I can find that?" and it didn't dawn on me until about the 3rd person that I was wearing a shirt that is the same color blue as the apron thingys that they wear at our WalMart... :D

being in the bakery, we not only make ready-to-eat treats, but we also stock already packaged goods...such as the 'party-in-a-box' snack thingys (the small donuts and honeybuns and other various snackables) so me and this girl i work with were out restocking the snackable shelf thing in the middle of the aisle back in the dairy section, and this eldery chap asks me which type of milk is 'regular milk'. ok, i've never done the grocery shopping...ever! i just drink what mom brings home, so to me, all types of milk is regular milk. but, of course, i wasn't mean to the guy or anything. i just politely told him that this wasn't my department and that i really didn't know, and then proceeded to ask the girl i was working with if she knew the difference. but, to get to my point, that kind of stuff gets to me a little...i'm in the bakery, i'm still trying to learn the bakery...don't ask me about a department i've never worked in! but i understand people don't know which department i'm in, so i always try to tell them i'm new, and that i'm not in the department they're asking about but i try to help them out as much as i can. i know i'd want someone to do the same if i were in their shoes.

I worked for Wal*Mart for 3 years... I was an All-Purpose associate, a Travelling associate, Department Manager, Customer Service Manager, and then lastly I worked in the Accounting Office counting money all day long. Wheeeeeee... that was fun.

I loved my store... We were a GM store, top in our district. Very clean, very friendly. Then we went SuperCenter. UGH... Conversions are he||. But we survived. I miss that store... I loved my job... and the people were just like the commercials. We were like family!

Down here, though... UGH... when I moved down here, I transferred to the 192 store so that I'd have a job when I got down here. My plan was to then work them part time, and go Full time at Disney. Well, that didn't last long. I couldn't STAND the 192 store. It was dark, dirty, disgusting, filthy, run down, crabby people, half the employees didn't speak English, and it was HORRIBLY run. The ONLY reason that store is packed 24/7 is because it's a tourist store... British tourists are too happy about the prices they see, they don't care how horrible the store is. *sigh*

One of my best friends works for Wal Mart. She is training to be the CSM of Layaway.

She loves her job.

I think I might go to work for the local Sams Club when I turn 16. Either that the new BJ's Wholesale CLub when it opens sometime next year.

I made made it out there a few times when I was on the college program. It really was the pits!

I don't know why you'd expect the employees to speak English. Most of the customers there don't!

..... I went to WalMart shopping today, and I'm walking through an aisle with my cart, and there's a WalMart employee on the floor stocking the bottom shelf, and her feet were out in the aisle where I wanted to pass, so I say, "excuse me..." and she didn't move, then as I get closer, I say, "excuse me..." and finally when I got up to her she moved, and so I said, "thank you" and smiled, she turns around and looks at me and snaps, "well, if you said something, I would have moved!" :brick: I didn't even know what to say after that... I was stunned... :(

what's this? lol...

yeah, i've worked there for about 3 weeks. that's why i'm never online to chat anymore at night...gotta go to bed at around 8 if i expect to get any sleep. and i work on the weekends, so there goes my late nights :brick: :fork:

 LOL! funny you should bring that up! it's an inside joke with my Sunday School class. some how that phrase was created about my cousin Jake. we're always kinda commenting on how much of an honor it would be to be him or something and we're always saying how we wish we could be a Jake. fortunately for you, you're already a Jake, so you were born with that honor....lucky you!! ;) :D
if you're still confused, don't worry about it...sometimes we find humor in things that people wouldn't normally think is funny...that's why we get along so well in Sunday School :)

I did this project for school where we worked at the biggest Wal-Mart in the country (in my backyard), and I didnt get payed or nothing, but it was fun working there cause my friends and I were getting in the carts and pushing each other into walls and other people...It was kind of fun. Btw, my job was to hand out maps of the store, thats how big it is.

Oh yea, and we all got to eat at "The Radio Grille" or some place like that, and it was inside Wal-Mart, and the food was surprisingly good...only the fries though, the chicken sucked.

yeah, we have a Radio Grill inside my store as well. ate there today, actually. it used to be Little Ceaser's, but they left. i like the food at Radio Grill though. they have pretty good hot dogs.

lol, well, it might be fun if i got to push people around in carts...but i'd probably get fired for that. besides, there's too much that's gotta be done in the bakery to be doing stuff like that. guess that's what breaks and lunch are for though :D
