Call me by your name

Normally I don't recommend movies to anyone but Call me by your name was such an amazing film that I watched it twice in two days. The kind of movie that doesn't rake in hundreds of millions but movies like this should be done more often.

Was wondering if anybody else has seen it? Or heard of it for that matter?

I saw it and was a little disappointed, to be honest. The dad's monologue at the end felt very forced and anachronistic, and it made no sense to me that the central (gay) love scene was only coyly depicted (camera panning to an open window) while Elio's sexual encounter with his girlfriend was much more explicit. On the plus side, I thought the lead actors were terrific, and the setting was, of course, splendid.

You're definitely not alone in loving it. Some of my friends raved about it. I wish I could have enjoyed it as much as you guys did!
