Call from Disney Executive

I wrote a letter to Disney detailing our experience with our luggage being lost, etc at AKL. Today someone from the Disney Executive offices called to respond. I missed their call but I should be able to speak with them tomorrow.

What should I expect? Has anyone ever had a Disney executive call to respod to a complaint? Just wondering. Thanks.

Don't expect specific concerns to be addressed the way you want them to. I think this call might be to try to bring you back to the WDW Resort.

I've had letters in the mail, but they've said "If you would like to discuss this issue further, please call --- "...but I've never had to call.

So, they will just try to sugar coat everything so that we will come back in the future? Basically they will just say they are sorry? We are annual passholders and just returned from our 3rd trip this year.

Most likley...if you want you way, I would suggest pitching a fit...not the most professional thing, but it seems like the only way to get your point across.

I don't know....

With something like losing your luggage I'm sure they would be very specific and address the problem with an appology and maybe giving you something free...be it a park ticket or whatever.

Mightyduck had an unpleasant experience at WDW with a tour group a year or two back I believe. I'm pretty sure they gave her a call and appoligized. I don't recall if they gave her anything though. If she were around I'm sure she could answer.

A friend of mine once wrote a complain at GR about a manager who was rude to him as a guest in the park and he was called by George Kalogridis, the director (or whatever it was called) of Epcot at that time. As far as I remember, he called him, appologized, and asked him details about what happened, but I´m not sure what happened next. My friend didn´t know who the guy was and when he told me I was like "wow! you spoke to who???"

I would say that whoever calls you will want to find out the specifics and appologize to you too. I´m not sure if they will offer complementary things though, so don´t expect them. :animwink:

You think thats bad?

quick story about my 98 trip to WDW..

I arrived at CBR around 1pm.. Checked into the room.. Left bags in room..... went to park... got back to room... bags are gone... There was a VERY large group in our hotel that week <the day we got there was the day they were leaving>... Anyhow, as a courtesy, the resort picked up all of the peoples bags and put them on the transportation for that group..

Long story short? My bags got on a Southwest airlines flight to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma...

I was EXTREMELY displeased with this event.. And the front desk had the gift shop at cbr reopened just for us <it was late after coming back from the park, etc> and we spent about 100$ of the resorts money on basic needs... we didn't go overboard.. Toothbrushes, toothpaste, deoderant, etc,etc.. But it adds up quick when toothpaste is 6 bucks a tube in the giftshop.. and toothbrushes are 4 bucks each :)... anyway.... They had my luggage in my room around 10am the next money... Talk about disney magic :)!

Thanks for all your help!

Gee, I thought I had it bad...at least my luggage only toured WDW, not Oklahoma.

I wouldn't have taken it quite so seriously but my son is a type 1 diabetic and his diabetic supplies were in the luggage. We usually keep them with us but we trusted the AKL to store the luggage while we were at the parks. :(

It was also worse because this was the first time we have ever put out the bucks to stay inside WDW. Even though it was our 5th trip in 2 years we have always rented a house or condo.
