I haven't been back to the California Grill since it reopened after it's last long refurb. Tell me what you think of their menu now :) We're headed back in early October.

Last trip we all enjoyed our meals. We had flat breads to start, I had seafood stew, DW had the bison and DS had the filet of beef. DW and I split the sundae sampler for dessert and DS had the chocolate pudding cake.
I have been eyeing that pulled pork flatbread since I made my ADRs! Son wants the filet, husband wanted to try the Bison.

Pulled Pork flatbread was scrumptious, a unique combination of flavors. My husband and I both had the tender-as-butter filet (grilled to perfection) and my daughter really enjoyed the bison. The bison is served pretty rare, FYI.

Save room for dessert! The banana fritters (with dipping sauces) and chocolate bar cake were both out of this world :p !

OMG that's what I was looking at too!! LOL (the fritters) son wants the creme brulee and hubby wants the sunday sampler. See, regarding the bison, hubby doesnt do rare meat, so that may push him towards the filet. AND get this... the pulled pork flatbread is off the menu!! LOL Just my luck!

Bummer on the flatbread :( And yeah, the bison was too rare for my taste ~ I didn't even want to try it (it comes out pre-sliced.) I polished off an entire order of fritters :jawdrop: And we had an "interesting" white wine (that's how it was designated!) called Conundrum that we enjoyed.

Sigh... I wish they had lobster tail :( but looks like the filet will be my choice as well.

I never went to the restaurant before the refurb but I went in June and LOVED it. Hubby had the bison and I had the pork two ways and I thought I didn't like polenta but it came with my meal and I could've eaten a bucket of it. We also had the tomato flatbread and the chocolate pudding dessert. No complaints at all, except they didn't offer me seconds!

Wife and I ate there last November. I had the Oak Flamed Steak and it was perfect. Wife ate sushi and talked about it for 2 days. Next trip this will be a must for us!

I have never had sushi, but the California Combo Roll peaked my interest (big fan of shrimp and lump crab meat)

I went for NYE 12/31/13 after the renovation and was disappointed they had the same menu but much more poorly executed than NYE 12/31/12. It almost ruined the place for me.

However, I went back for my birthday this past March and had the seafood stew, which was spectacular.

I'm going back in December - but skipping NYE there this year.

My whole family loves that place. I'm not big on the tomato stuff they have on the filet now.
I really wish they still had the teriyaki bbq filet.
