BWI, BC, or YC?

Love the YC because it is much quieter than the BC, especially in the lobby area. Same pool for both resorts, very short walk to Epcot from both, and about a 15 minute walk to HS as well. Second would be the BW, but if I'm staying at one of the three, its the YC!

I prefer Yacht Club overall, and have stayed here at least a dozen times.

BoardWalk is second, I choose to stay here usually in the cooler months when I know I'm not going to be swimming (b/c, between Yacht and BWI, I give Yacht the edge for its pool) or when we stay Club Level, b/c BWI Club Level is far superior to Yacht. Stayed here about 10 times.

Beach Club is by far our worst. The lobby is too loud with misbehaving kids, and I don't like the garish Little Mermaid characters thrown into the Resort decorations. It really dumbed down the feel of the Resort. Stayed here 2x. Ehhh, not my favorite, poor Lake Views too.

The rooms are all very similar between the three. Yacht and BWI both have an elegance about them that is awesome and therefore attracts couples, 20somethings, and families with older kids, so I like that ambiance.

BW is the favorite resort in my family, although all the Epcot resorts are so nice. I love the theme there. We walk to the Boardwalk Bakery for breakfast in the morning, and rent the surry bikes for a nice little cruise around the loop. Something about it just always makes it our #1. :)

I've only stayed at BC and BWI. I think I like the location and property of BC the best and for some reason I like the pools at BWI best...
If I was picking between the 2...probably go with BC. I really like the lounges at BC better too...

I've only stayed at the Boardwalk (will be trying the beach club in may!)

and the Boardwalk has always been my favorite resort even before I got a chance to stay there during our wedding trip for 5 nights :) the rooms are amazing, the theming is amazing. So I am definitely partial to it. :inlove:

I have always stayed at BC as opposed to YC for the simple reason that I don't feel like dealing with the snooty people and nasty looks me and my wife get from the residents there. I am in my mid 20s and Its mostly older people who give me the impression that they are saying in their heads..."why are you in my resort??" I stayed in the club level there once and that was the worst. The people kind of were like..um how did you get in my concierge lounge? Just my opinion though. Beach club is much more friendly and outgoing. Good luck with whatever you choose!

Yacht Club elitists huh.

That's why we like it there a lot. More formal and more quiet compared to the loud Beach Club.

BW for the following:
1. Old penny arcade machines just off the lobby
2. Belle Vue
3. Watching the fun at night in the grassy area outside lobby/boardwalk
4. The music throughout
5. Action on the boardwalk
6. Shorter walks to Epcot and Studios

I like the BC, seems more like Disney. YC lobby seems to always be full of people attending conventions. BC lobby may be busy and loud, but how much time do you actually spend in the lobby anyway. And, for that matter, you're at WDW, everything is busy and loud. :)

In regards to the YC ( I'm planning a trip only 23 days away!! I know, my family is spontaneous.) How is the walk to HS? Is it more along a path or will we have to run across a freeway?

We've only stayed at YC. We weren't fans, but it was more because we had a bad lot of CMs there during our stay, the halls by our room were pretty beat up and something in the room gave one of our kiddos nightly allergic reactions. We've agreed to skip YC for future trips, so we're trying to decide between BW and BC for our proposed next trip. We've been around both resorts and both have pros. As much as I adore the common areas in BW and like the vibe/food options a bit better over on that side...I like the room décor better in BC, the walk to Epcot is shorter, and prefer Stormalong to Luna Park.

The rooms at BWV are so much better than the rooms at BCV. Pool at YC/BC is better than BW (um, BWI is our airport, in my book that is ;)). Overall, probably BC. I like the feel of the lobby, the pool, and the proximity to Epcot. I have not stayed at YC, but I'm not wild about the feel. It always feels a little dark and too formal for my taste. I like a lobby where I can walk through in a bathing suit and not look out of place. BW is very nice too. I like their pool too because it has all the elephants and Dumbos on the side, and Dumbo is my favorite!

Agreed. And that is exactly why I like to retreat to my quiet Resort at Yacht or BoardWalk, not Beach!

Everything down there is so loud, so to find those little spaces of calmness and solitude is nice.
