Buzz Lightyear Character Meal at MGM?

Has anyone heard the rumor that there will be a Toy Story themed character meal starting at MGM in April? Does anyone know for sure that this will be happening? I have a three-year-old Buzz Lightyear fanatic who would love this when we visit in September!

It should start by early April. If it hasn't started by the time you go Buzz can be found back at Al's Toy Barn along with Woody, Jessie, and Green Army Man.

Begining Spring 2006, the Character Dinning experience will be back in Disney-MGM Studios for breakfast and lunch at Hollywood and Vine Restaurant. The new Character Dining Experience will be introduced with Buzz Lightyear, Mr. Incredible, Sarge and many other of your favorite Disney/Pixar friends. The Fantasmic! Dinner Experience will still be available for the dinner meal period.

I believe that came off Cast Portal, which is a secured CM only site... so posting a link won't do a regular person any good

Nope, Disney Dining does not have any information as of today. Just looking for a start date, but it doesn't look like Disney has even pinpointed a date yet. Thanks though.

Hi all. I, too have a toy story obessesed two year old. I have called WDW Dine several times and as of my last call on Friday,they said it was still just a rumor. That is great to hear that it really will be happening. We are going the first week in May, I really hope they start it before then.

As long as they leave the dinner portion alone...Hollywood and Vine is my ultimate favorite place to eat, would hate for it to be ruined by a three times a day character meal....

OK, So I was able to get a little more information... They are aiming for starting the Character Dinning at H&V on June 2nd with the official start on June 4th. If the Disney/Pixar Character Dinning is very popular for Breakfast and Lunch they will look to extend it to Dinner and move the Fantasmic package to another restaurant. This all (of course) is subject to change. After all, Entertainment was aiming to start in Jan/Feb but due to Character scheduling and Entertainment Contracts they kept having to push it back.

Does anyone happen to know when reservations will start being accepted for the Disney/Pixar character meal at H&V at MGM? I read the message about the official start date as being June 4th, but I'm wondering if Dining Reservations will begin taking reservations prior to that. I can't wait! I think this will be one of the most popular character meals at WDW!
