Buying VC Points Question

Boardwalk Grand Villa (Rental Points) vs. Yacht Club (Regular Reservations)

Ok I was looking at buying club points to rent a Boardwalk Grand Villa and it looks like it would be less expensive than renting 3 deluxe rooms. My problem is that I can't figure out what the Dining Plan costs to make sure.

My current reservations are with the Yacht Club (3 garden view rooms), but if I could keep my party of 10 together I would prefer it. Is it generally a little cheaper to buy VC points than it is to rent outright from Disney?

Right now it looks like I have $310 a person left over for dining, so if I knew what the dining plan costs I could get the answer. Even if buying the points ends up a little more expensive it might be worth it. Any ideas? :sohappy:

If you're looking at renting DVC points for your group, you might want to consider getting two 2-bedroom villas instead of the 3-bedroom. They cost fewer points, and if you go with a Standard View rather than Preferred View, you can save even more. (All 3-bedroom Grand Villas are Preferred View)

Overall there are more bedrooms in the two 2-bedroom setup, but you actually have fewer actual beds, because the 2nd bedroom has a queen bed and a sleep sofa, rather than 2 queen beds in the second and third bedrooms of the Grand Villa.

Thanks I'll have to look into that as well. When you do this can you request adjoining villas though? I'm trying to keep everyone either together or really close if I can. One thing I find odd about trying this is that I have to put down a deposit and find out within 24 hours if that setup is even available.

It concerns me that I won't even know if it's possible for a day or so. Thanks again for the advice!

You can request the two units be close to each other, and they'll try their best to make it happen. But two connecting 2-bedroom units do not exist.
