Buying tickes now for November trip, FP+ availability?

I've been to WDW twice before and know that you need to plan ahead with the new FP+ system. This year I was waiting to see when I could have my son to take him to Disney again, and obviously I'll be well into the 60-day window for scheduling FP+.

I plan on taking him around Nov. 17 or 18 to Nov. 22 or 23. So what do you think my odds are at getting FP+ at the big attractions? We did rope drop last time we went and will do it again to ensure getting in the standby lines with a short wait. I've read that you have to keep checking the FP+ chart as it updates daily and saw stories that more times became available within a 30 day window vs. the 60 day window.

So any thoughts on this, or should I postpone this trip to January or February or even May?

Thanks!

I got FastPass yesterday for 11/21 arrival and had plenty of options. The only tricky one was 7 dwarves mine train and this one was not available for a party of 2. But I was able to get them for 2 parties of 1, with a half hour overlapping time so it will still work.

I second the above. The only ones you might have trouble getting are Seven Dwarfs, Anna & Elsa, the parade and fireworks viewing areas and maybe Midway Mania depending on how busy the particular day is.

All of the other attractions, including "headliners" you shouldn't have a problem even trying the day before as long as you're flexible on times.

I think you'll be fine except for 7DMT and A&E of course. We will be there Nov 12-18th and did our fp's at midnight of the 60 day window. I have been tweaking things each week since doing that and there is a lot of availability for everything. So you should be fine.

The sad part is that you have to go through all of this just to get on a ride. :arghh:

Apparently, if this new test for the Toy Story ride works well for WDW, there won't be a standby line...

If you read into the full discussion about the TSMM test this week, it is presumed that this is just a "real world" test of how the existing attraction can operate being fed by FP+ only while the new track is fed by Standby only. I highly doubt that the attraction will go strictly FP+ only full-time.

They have been "testing" this with different rides at different times and never for long.
It is nothing permanent yet and probably will not be anytime soon so no need to worry about that just yet. So Standby still exists no one needs to panic! Lol :)
