Buying Points from Other Members

I'm a happy DVC member. I was just reading something recently that implied that one DVC member can transfer points to another DVC member for any specified use year. The points will transfer between DVC member accounts. Is this possible? If so, any experience with how this works? Also, if it is possible, what is the current market rate (is it $10/point -- similar to the rate available on the Disboards for transferring points to non-DVC members)? And, how would I find members who may be interested in selling some unused points?

You are essentially renting points from a fellow member. Once they receive payment, they call member services and transfer the points to your account where you can do what you want with them. I don't think you can bank transferred points and DVC is really starting to crack down on multiple transfers to curb renting for profit. There are enforcing the "one transfer per year" rule. As for finding people willing to rent, try Disboards.
