We have 49 points left and are looking to possibly come back for another trip at the end of the summer (Aug-Sep.) Even borrowing points, we don’t have quite enough to stay for the number of nights we want. Is the process of buying the one-time use points difficult? What are your experiences? Thanks!

I haven't ever done it but just wanted to remind you that OTU points can only be bought at the 7 month window, and you cannot bank or transfer them. Also you can't cancel the transaction once you've bought them. So if you buy the points and have to cancel the trip, they will need to be used by the end of your use year.

You need to phone to buy them before you can book, you can't do it online at the time of booking. So I assume it will be easier just to get MS to book for you.

If your staying at your home resort, at 11 months, book what you can with the points that you have and save the last day of your reservation for the one time use purchase. At the 7th month booking window you have to call and purchase the points. The CM then finished the booking for me. If your not staying at your home resort they can take care of everything over the phone at the same time. The whole process was very quick and painless. Check online for availability before purchasing one time use points and have backups just in case. As mentioned in previous posts beware if your plans are not firm.
