Buy Disney Flix on Disc or wait for streaming service

I’ve wondered what everyone else is doing?

Massive fan on collecting all the Disney movies on Blu-Ray and probably have over 100 in my collection so far. Being from the UK I didn’t know about Disney movie club in the US where I can go get tons of the classic live action movie so like Cool Runnings and I’m thinking of buying every movie I’m missing.

However.... We know Disneys streaming service is about 18 months away. Are people going to continue collecting movies now on disc despite the fact they are all likely to appear on their streaming service?

It seems like Disney is putting everything they have behind this service and think that Disney will put as much of their library on the service, so I’m not sure what to do.

Just me then who’s wondering?

I think the Marvel and Disney animated films I’m going to slow down on soon as they are sure to be on the streaming service.

It’s all about the old live action classics for me. I really hope everything from Disney is included and not like Disney Life here in the UK

Well for me streaming will not replace my favorite movies. With garbage data caps, streaming/digital download will never kill physical media. With the amount of times I've watched my star wars and marvel movies alone, it would have cost me a small fortune in data overage. My Netflix is set to SD to save on data. So I might get the streaming service, depending on the content, but I'll still purchase my favorites.
