any idea if/when they will return? such a pain to go to resort to catch a bus, back to resort to return to the parks, you would think disney would make it easy to go there and of course, spend money.

They never existed. That would allow people to park at Disney Springs and avoid the parking fee at the parks.

I agree it does make it difficult. Especially when you have an ADR to dine at DS or take in a Cirque show. The number of guests going to DS from any park probably wasnt enough to warrant having bus routes leaving from the parks. And maybe Disney doesnt want to have guests leaving the parks where they are spending money freely on snacks, dining and merch. I think youd be more likely to spend more if you start out going to DS as a designated destination from your resort than going later in the day after being in a park. I find myself spending more when I take a day off from the parks to go to DS, than when I leave a park later in the evening for evening entertainment.

They existed. I've taken them from parks to DS. It's the ones from DS to parks that did not (for the reason you stated).

Ahhh. I had never thought of that. We avoid the busses like the plague so I never noticed they even had them on a one way route.

They sort of did. As you mentioned they only ran from the parks to the Springs and not the other way around. They also did not run until later in the day...usually, around 3 or 4 if memory serves me correctly.

One ride is down and it's less than a half day park??? You must only want rides and don't care about anything else. Sad, really as there is so much more to offer there in the trails and such.

I remember back in the early 90's when buses did run from DS to the parks, but you had to show your resort ID (at least, you were supposed to-it depended on the bus driver!)

You could take the bus from AK to Port Orleans then take the boat to Disney Springs 🤷🏻‍♀️
We would usually go to SSR, since it has the shortest boat ride. Of course, we were probably staying there at the time so didn't have to worry about catching a bus back to a different resort.

Just as soon as they start charging the same amount to park at Disney Springs as the parks there will be a crap load of buses making that run.

We usually stay at POFQ and when we leave a park to head to DS for a break, if our bus isn’t there, we’ll grab either a POR bus and take the boat to DS, or take the SSR resort bus and get off at Congress Park. It’s a nice short walk from there to DS. Or you could even catch a bus to OKW and take the boat to DS. We walked that one time, but it’s quite the hike. The boat rides are very relaxing and take approximately 20 minutes. Sometimes you may be the only party on the boat.
