Buses....and time...

Can anybody give me an estimation as to how long it takes the buses from the All-Star resorts to reach each park. I have to plan what time I will be waking up in April to go to the parks.

The time depends on the driver and where you are going.

The All Stars though have a good bus system. There is only one stop at each resort. So it goes quicker than the moderates.

I never thought about the Busses making stops. Does the AKL stop at other hotels? I was wondering too....Does the monorail travel in between Epcot and MK? I was trying to figure that out. We have Breakfast at the castle Monday Morning, we'll have to drive, but after that we wanted to spend the day at Epcot, then come back later to MK. I was hoping there was transportation so we wouldn't have to keep driving back and forth.

The Monorail travels to the transportation and ticket center where you can transfer to the Epcot monorail. Coming from Epcot you just do the same in reverse.

Personally, we just take the first bus in the morning. Just ask guest services what time they start running. It's usually 30-45 minutes before the parks open.

It all depends on the Routes and the Demand, on whether a bus will make multiple stops. For example, often times during midday when there isn't much of a demand, the All Stars will be combined into one bus. So if you pick up the MK bus at All Star Sports, it might stop at Music and Movies before it heads to the MK. I know this might sound like a drag, but from a logistical standpoint, it doesn't make sense to dispatch 3 different busses for 10 people per resort, when one bus can handle it with no problem.

Now, they tend to group resorts that are clustered together. So if you're at All Stars, you won't be clustered with OKW. They'll usually only cluster busses if the resorts themselves are somewhat clustered. And like I said before, it's also based on demand. If there's enough demand for a resort to have a bus to itself, they'll dispatch it that way.

As for your breakfast plans... If you are driving... My recommendation is to park at the MK Parking, and leave your car there. Take the Monorail to MK... and then take it to Epcot. When you're done, take the Monorail back to your car, and head back to your hotel. Personally, if you're staying on property, I'd recommend taking the bus... it'd just be easier.

yeah....parking and taking the monorail where you want to go then back to the parking lot at the end of the day where you can wait for a while to get out is a DRAG...buses all the way!

I would rather take the bus, but our reservations for breakfast at the castle are before the buses are running. I checked with the travel agent and received that information. I don't exactly know what we're supposed to do that morning either. I don't want to mess up and miss our reservation. We took the buses the whole time we visted the last time, but with the early morning breakfast we weren't sure what to do. I'm afraid driving will be my only choice :(

Your breakfast is at Cinderella Castle? The busses run for that! Busses will start service at 7:00am. They will say, "Character Breakfast" or "Magic Kingdom" on them. Just double check with the Driver to make sure that it's going to MK... Sometimes before 7:30, the bus will drop you off at the TTC, in which case, you take the Resort Monorail to the MK.

(No one is allowed to be dropped off at the MK before 7:30... via bus or monorail)

Don't worry about the early morning breakfast. Disney Transport will take care of getting you to where you want! :)

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! :sohappy: You have no idea how I have been worrying about that. That will be perfect then. I'm glad we won't have to mess with our car. I'm so glad you let me know about that. Thanks Again
