Busch Gardens Williamsburg Covered in Snow

Busch Gardens in Williamsburg started a new tradition last year by opening up from Thanksgiving to the end of the year on weekends and being open every day during the two weeks surrounding Christmas. This year being the second year for Christmas Town they expanded it to include Italy.

They were closed Saturday for Christmas Day and were going to reopen this past Sunday, but that didn't happen. They have been closed for the last three days because of the record snowfall in the Williamsburg area. This was one of the largest snowfalls in that area in the last two decades. They had around a foot of snow fall in that region starting on Christmas Day and lasting thru that Sunday. Where I live in Virginia we had around 6 inches as the farther you got away from the cost the less snow you saw.

They have been cleaning up the park and are hoping to have it reopen by Wednesday. If you have ever been to this park you know that there are a lot of hills and shaded areas throughout the park. They have posted some photos of the park covered in Snow. Here is the link.

I just saw this post, but you should visit the Appalachian Mountains in Virginia sometime, we had 12 inches around Christmas and we aren't near the coast.
