I don't think anyone has made comments on this at all. This was announced this week in our local news. BUT....Busch Gardens just revealed plans to open a new "land" in their theme park called Jungala which will feature 2 new rides, a themed exploration village and exotic animals of the rarest breeds. What really got me was that the completion date is SPRING 2008.

This had to have been in the planning for awhile, and even under construction for a couple weeks already. I'm guessing it's to "compete" with Disney's Refurbishment projects and new attractions being developed around the resort and Universal's new Potter World.

It might not have too much to do with WDW, but it's still good news. I enjoy Busch for day visits and sometimes for my lunch break. I also enjoy it more than the Universal parks. And even the 45-60 minute drive from WDW doesn't hamper the fact that it's a nice day trip for those on a Disney Vacation. Anyway. I posted the webcast here.

If you think this thread is irrelevant, sorry. It's hard to tell sometimes what you guys do and don't want to hear about. :veryconfu

BG has closed off most of the top left section of the park (not sure of the exact N E S W direction) for the last year. This hasn't really been a "kept secret" but hasn't been advertised either. My company has been working on the project since last year and it looks to be pretty detailed.

well cool! if you have any details that you can share that would be great! I knew they've had the area behind timbuktu closed for awhile for a new Tiger display area, and I figured the other walled off area was just because of the removal of Python... Never really thought too much about what all they were putting in it's place! Thanks for adding! :animwink:

I was wondering how long(little?) it would take for this to be moved..

Anyhow, I'm happy to hear about new stuff in BG. Looking forward to seeing it!
