Bus transporatation to Character Breakfast

I have read that the Disney Bus transportation start
running 2 hours before parks open, BUT I read a forum note
by someone who was told by Dining Reservations that
she could not have an 8:10 am Character Breakfast
at Cinderella's Round Table unless she drove her own
vehicle to the park.

What is the earliest the buses run to Magic Kingdom
when they open at 9 am?

Busses start running at 7:00am. Whoever that person spoke with was completely wrong, and I'm actually kinda shocked they would say something like that. Central Reservations should be more informed.

But like I said, busses DO start running at 7:00am. That of course doesn't mean that it will be at your stop at 7:00, but pretty soon thereafter. The busses will run with either the theme park name, (ie: MAGIC KINGDOM) or "CHARACTER BREAKFAST". If you see a CB bus, ask the driver which breakfasts he's going to.

If you're having a breakfast at another resort (ie: Contemporary), you'll need to catch a theme park bus, and make a connection there. Make sure to tell your driver. Often times the breakfast busses will take you directly there, saving you from having to transfer.

These busses start at 7:00am, and will run approx every 20 mins. Please be sure to allow for travel time when planning your priority seating. (I wouldn't recommend anything before 8:00am if you'll be using the Character Breakfast busses) If you do happen to run late, not to worry, the restaurant will hold your table.

(NOTE: Make sure not to confuse the Character Caravan busses with the Character Breakfast busses... hehe)

We had reservation at the Crystal Palace Character Bfast. We were 15 minutes late due to miscalculated transportation times. They DID NOT hold our table. We were put on the waiting list with about 40 other people.

Yep, isn't that the point of the Priority Seating system. It can suck if you are late, and it wasn't your fault.

I hope you did get in eventually though.

Really? I'm really surprised to hear that. The reason being, when I was in Monorails, every so often, I'd have a party that was running late, so I'd call the restaurant for them, to let them know that they were on thier way, but a few mins late. Every time I talked to someone, the hostess would say, "Oh, don't worry, we'll hold the table for a half hour before we give it away"
