Bus Routes and DTD

Does anyone know if, in the evening at park closing, there is a bus from Hollywood Studios to Downtown Disney? I seem to remember one years ago (and also one from HS to Epcot). I know there is usually no bus between DTD and the parks so that people don't park for free at DTD and then get into the parks via the resorts.

We will be staying at BCVillas and know we can take the boat, but the wait times are often quite long at park closing. We thought maybe if a bus was running we could go from HS to DTD and then take a bus back to BCV.

They do not provide transportation from the parks to Downtown Disney. Even if they did, taking a bus to DTD and then getting on another bus back to the Beach Club would take a long time (at least an hour- the bus to DTD from the beach Club is a shared route with all the Epcot resorts). In my opinion, you'd be much better off waiting for the boat or walking along the path back to the Beach Club.

As Eeyore said, no direct bus from any Parks to DTD; the 15-20 minute walk is the way to go (unless you get lucky with boat transportation).

Between the Studios, Epcot and the Epcot Resorts, walking is almost always the fastest option, especially when you're in a hurry.

The only time I take the boat from the Studios is if the boat is at the dock (or approaching within sight), with a short-enough line that I'll make it on that boat. (And also if I'm not in a hurry to get anywhere)
