Digi cam - Burning to CD while at WDW

Hi all,

I will be going to WDW this Friday and I am a bit worried that I am going to run out of memory on my CF Cards in my camera. I have about 550 MB worth of space with me, but I am very picture happy and have a 5 megapixle.

Is there anywhere in the park or nearby outside where I could download pictures from a compact flash and burn it to a CD?

Thanks,

Pete

Hmm, 5 mega pixel eh. I get 70 shots from a 128 card from a 3 mega pixel. On a week vacation I shot 750 pictures. But I had my laptop with me to download to every night. If you are longer then just a couple of days you will need something.

You might try contacting Kingdom Konsultants (find them in the RESORT Thread.) Or give WDW a call and ask.

hmm... I would think that most photofinishing places could do it... after I wake up a bit more, I'll reply with a few local places

Walmart does it. It'll cost you around $4.00 for the cd. Double check with the sales clerk for sure. There's a machine on the side of the photo area. It looks just like the kodak picture maker but it can also write to CDs. I was looking to do it but couldn't stand the wait...so I just picked up another card :p.

You could always go to a local Best Buy and tell them you are *wink* trying out the CD burners....

I would say do a search for the local Kinkos.

Kinkos is what I was thinking as well and there is one just a few blocks away from Hotel Blvd… I don’t know the address offhand but it is in a shopping center that is just a VERY short ride from Downtown Disney.

550MB? Just make sure youre shooting at normal resolution, and you might be fine. Then again, i shot a gig's worth of photos so thereyago.

If you have a laptop or know someone's laptop that you can borrow, bring it and put the CompactFlash card into on of those adapters and copy them to disc. (Or.... make friendly with someone who has a laptop....)

I'm surprised that disney hasnt moved in this direction, however i coulda swore i saw something along these lines at the camera shop at epcot.
